CLIF SWIGGETT - trombone, percussion
Clif Swiggett is a multi-instrumentalist and educator who grew up in New York playing jazz trombone. He toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, backed up Dizzy Gillespie at the Newport and Kool Jazz Festivals, and performed live on the Merv Griffin Show. Clif moved to Seattle in 1985, and has since performed and toured along the west coast from Alaska to California and more. He’s played with Room To Move and Megabopolis (jazz), Cambalache and Caribbean Roots (salsa and Afro-Cuban), The Brian Waite Band (reggae, funk, rock), Clif & Nelda’s little BIG Band (with his wife, Nelda), and most of Seattle’s top big bands. “Extraordinary trombone solos by Clif Swiggett set the tone for the entire CD…” (Ken Kraintz, Touch Of Blue CD Review). Clif is also co-creator (along with grammy-nominated vibraphonist, Stefon Harris) of the revolutionary Harmony Cloud™ app, currently being used by music students and teachers around the world to develop a more intuitive understanding of harmony.
