Nelda enjoys working with students of all ages, helping them explore the beauty of music and find their own creative voice. Most of her students at this time are working on jazz improvisation, composition, and Latin piano styles. She teaches both in-person lessons (if vaccinated and boosted) and Zoom lessons. In-person lessons are scheduled at her home studio in Seward Park and, if space available, at a satellite studio in Leschi.

Nelda also coaches student jazz combos at the Jazz Night School, and is available for jazz band clinics, workshops and adjudications.
